Heavy lift Saturday. Ended up doing DL and SJ. Started with DL progression that was feeling really strong

I psyched myself out a little bit on the weight and reps. It was supposed to be 240, but that looked like a big jump from the previous week. The first rep was great, good wide knees and strong back. The second I reverted back to a weaker knee position and resulted in my back coming forward some.
MetCon: 1 RFT (070111) 100 JJ, 75 squats, 50 pull ups (jumping), 25 burpees – 11:10

SJ – 60×3, 75×3, 90×3, 105×3, 120×3, 135×3, 155×2 – too slow, so stopped here
Not sure what the spike at the beginning of the work out is from.
After work Dish run
Ran to the Stanford Dish with coworkers. Pace was a little on the slow side, but made it easier to push through on the hills and then wait for them at the top. I was glad that I switched to regular running shoes instead of my Innov8 Bare’s. I think my calves would have been smoked otherwise. Unfortunately didn’t have my Forerunner 305, so no pace or distance data, just heart rate.

MetCon - 5 RFT 5 Burpee, 4 P/C, 3 P/P, 2 F/S, 100M shuttle – bar work done at 105# – 11:06

MP wk 1 – 50×5, 60×5, 75×3, 80×5, 90×5, 105×7, 3 Felt like I needed some extra volume, so I did the 3 extra after a short break.
MetCon – Tabata (20 seconds on, 10 seconds off) of:

Burpee – 5,5,4,3,3,3,3,3
KBS (24kg) – 8,6,2,4,4,4,4,4 – This one really caught up to my lungs round 3.

First class of the new 6am time slot at CrossFit Campbell. Waking up at 5am to get a little food and water in me before heading out wasn’t too bad. I still need to work on getting to bed earlier so I don’t start building up a sleep debt. It is nice to have my own cage, but some more testosterone in the gym would make sure I don’t slack off.
